Pineapple, Brown Sugar, Ginger Glazed Ham


  • 1 Hormel Cure 81 bone-in ham
  • 20 oz can crushed pineapple juice and fruit separated
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground ginger


  • Preheat oven to 375F.
  • Place ham in a baking dish with 2 to 3 inch sides (roasting pan works as well).
  • Create glaze by mixing approximately 1/2 cup of the pineapple juice with the brown sugar and ginger. Don't add the crushed pineapple yet.
  • Brush ham with 1/4 cup of the glaze mix and place in the oven for 1 hour.
  • Add the crushed pineapple to the glaze mix and place in the refrigerator until the ham comes out of the oven.
  • Brush 1/2 cup of the crushed pineapple glaze on the ham and return it to the oven for approximately 30 minutes. Reserve the rest of the glaze mix for serving.
  • When the ham comes out of the oven, let it rest for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
  • Serve with remaining glaze. Enjoy!


The Hormel Cure 81 bone-in ham comes in different sizes. Please check the instructions on the ham and adjust cooking times as needed.
