You all should know by now that I’m on a mission to live a more positive lifestyle. I try to do things that align with that mission, and that includes some daily mood boosters.
Reflecting on the things that make me happy is one of those mood boosters. What makes me happy and appreciating those things. I mean things that really make me happy. Not just the things society expects us to say. Yes family makes me happy, but I want to go deeper than that. Getting to know me as a person and truly investigating my own interests and preferences. What makes me happy is being me and getting to know me.
Believe it or not, I’ve known myself my entire life and I still don’t know everything that makes me happy or things I don’t like. This is why trying new things is so important. We’re on a constant journey to get to know ourselves fully. It’s a fantastic feeling to try something new and realize how much you like it. At least it is for me. Everything that I love right now I wouldn’t have realized it made me happy if I hadn’t tried it. These are the things I think about when I’m looking for my daily happy.
It’s an exercise in being authentic with what makes me happy and knowing this is who I am, this makes me smile and I’m happy about it. Connecting daily with what makes us happy helps to retrain the brain to think in a more positive way. I hope you’ll join me in discovering the daily happy.
