I know you’ve heard me talk about gradually remodeling my kitchen. Everything from taking some time out to repaint after a roof leak, getting new appliances, and even changing up the decor. There are so many things I want and along with that comes seeking out inspiration and thinking about all of the things I want in my kitchen if I could have anything.
With the house I have, I already know there are some things I want but can’t have, such as a giant island in the middle of the room so I can spread out more (there just isn’t the space no matter how I work it). Or how about tearing down all of my cupboards in order to add more windows! I just love natural light, but I can’t give up the storage space, no matter how much I would love the lighting. I swear, I’d never leave that room!
Some things I do want and can have are new appliances! My stove is ready for an update for so many reasons. First of all, we had our house built through one of those cookie cutter home builder places. It’s a great house, don’t get me wrong, but when we designed the house there were just some things we didn’t want to roll into the mortgage and since it was our first house, we didn’t have a lot of extra funds to throw into hand picking our own appliances, therefore we were stuck with the low dollar appliances the builder put in without upgrading. I have an electric range that has coils that are not balanced and at times I think our oven is starting to heat unevenly. Well, more uneven than it did in the beginning, which really wasn’t too bad. It’s a decade old and it was fairly cheap, what more could I expect.
Now I have visions of high tech appliances that are designed to help me create some of the most delicious recipes ever. I promise, when I transform my kitchen with KitchenAid I’m going to have Even-Heat™ Technology! This means flawless results in the wall ovens and ranges. You know I’m going to get more into baking with this. No more lopsided cakes! I also have dreams of a baking drawer. I’ve never had one but I’ve always watched those cooking shows that do and I know it will mean more cooking flexibility to keep dishes warm, slow cook or simply bake at a different temperature than the main oven cavity. Do you know what this will do to my Thanksgiving dinners?! I’m giddy just thinking of it. Not to mention how well this range will fit perfectly in my kitchen with the Slide-in Ranges that fit the traditional freestanding cut-out for a seamless look.
It hasn’t been too long since our fridge kicked the bucket and we were forced to make an emergency shopping trip to buy a new one. That doesn’t mean I can’t oogle over the new technology that’s out there to find something new on the market that I might want. For example KitchenAid’s NEW French Door Refrigeration Configuration. It has more drawers which is exactly what I need for my always packed fridge. Five Doors offer the ultimate in flexibility, organized storage and easier access to food, which means I’m going to have my healthy snacks at easier access.
