I wouldn’t consider myself a morning person. My head doesn’t find the pillow until later in the night, therefore my mornings aren’t typically too early.

Normally when I talk about mornings with people I find my late nights and sleepy mornings are usually the topics of discussion. This morning, however, as I was taking my morning Nature Made® Multi for Her plus Omega-3s Adult Gummies I realized I created a positively focused morning routine without thinking about it.

Discussing my morning routine in a positive manner is much more engaging than talking about the late nights or late mornings.

Today I’ll share the positively focused morning routine I find myself following in the mornings.

Morning Smiles

My mornings typically begin with my cat either snuggled up next to me or pawing at me because it’s time to wake up and give him treats. Either way, I start my day with a smile. He’s an amazing cat and I’m his human. It’s a wonderful feeling to realize how much he adores me, and I’m sure he recognizes just how fond of him I am too.

After a few snuggles and an assurance that if he stops demanding treats he’ll get some, I make my way to the bathroom where I’m greeted with this fantastic bath mat.

Looking around my bedroom though, I find equally positive and uplifting messages. Everything from quotes on the wall, to little quips painted on different items on my dresser.

While the things that make you smile might be different than mine, I highly recommend finding some of those things and placing them in your room for you to enjoy as soon as you climb out of bed.

Health and Hygiene

Once I’m up and moving it’s time for the usual morning routine shared by many people. Health and hygiene.

This is the time where medicine is taken, teeth are brushed, hair is styled, even if it’s just pulling it up into a pony tail.

This is when I take my medicine. Without my prescription medicine, I wouldn’t be able to control my allergies or my anxiety. I’m able to function every day because of it and I wouldn’t go back to being as miserable as I was for anything.

In addition to my prescription medicine, my morning routine is also when I take dietary supplements. One dietary supplement I always take is a multivitamin.

While I’m waiting for my coffee pot to heat up so I can pour myself a delicious cup of coffee, I do a little bit of kitchen upkeep. Dishwasher needs to be unloaded and somehow overnight the kitchen floor collects enough particles it needs to be swept again. Both of these tasks are quick so I knock them out while I’m waiting for my coffee.

Then it’s time to make some breakfast.

Breakfast

Breakfast doesn’t have to be elaborate for us. Usually, I prefer something quick and easy. A couple of scrambled eggs, some pumpernickel toast, and a handful of berries is enough to get me going for the day. If I’m in the mood for a little spice in my life, I’ll top the eggs with my homemade salsa.

Build Your Own Routine
