Buffalo Blue Cheese Chicken Dip is my new favorite dip! It has all the flavor of buffalo wings and it’s easy to make. Chicken, blue cheese, buffalo sauce, plus celery for dipping if you like the complimentary fresh crunch. Cream cheese and sour cream create a delicious base for the stars of the show to…
Game Day
Fully Loaded Steak Fajita Chili
The weather is cold but the excitement is hot when it comes to the big game. The only way to properly celebrate is by creating a delicious food spread to enjoy while watching the game from the big screen. Well, the biggest screen you have in your living room that is.
Today I’m sharing my fully loaded steak fajita chili. Not only does it taste amazing served up in a big bowl topped completely with all the fixin’s, but it’s also perfect for some fajita chili themed chili dogs, chili fries, chili mac or just about anything else you can dream up to put chili on.
Cheesy Salsa Rice and Beans
Being from Nebraska it might come as a shocker to you that I don’t follow football. I might be throwing him under the bus, but my husband doesn’t either. This is a big deal around here because during football season if you look down just about any neighborhood street it’s a sea of red, just like the stadium during game days. It’s odd to drive anywhere and not see at least a dozen or more vehicles demonstrating their love for our team in bumper stickers, personalized plates, or those little stick figure families in the back window.
My sister’s family and my in laws love the game and love our team. My sister was a high school cheerleader years ago and our hometown team has the same colors as our college team, so she’s taught my kids some cheers. I love seeing the kids connect with other family members in a way they can’t do with us.
A way I can connect with my football loving family is through food. I’m on team good food, and I don’t think anyone will ever argue with me on that one. My contribution to game day excitement is the food. This recipe is inspired by one my sister has been making for years and it’s great as a side dish for just about any game day spread.
Easy Homemade Mini Corndogs
We love homemade corn dogs in this house. I love making things homemade because I get to choose what I put in them, so I know exactly what my family is eating. We haven’t had corn dogs for quite a while so the kids were excited when I told them we were going to make some for lunch!

Thick and Spicy Chili Recipe: Perfect Comfort Food with a Kick
One thing I love when the air gets crisp and cool and the leaves start to change color is none other than a thick, spicy bowl of chili! I’m a fan of a strong chili powder and cumin flavor in my chili recipe, but I also love to stir in different ingredients to give my chili the same general consistency and flavor, with a little variety each time.
Today I’m sharing my basic chili recipe with all of you. This is a recipe that has won me the hearts of chili fans all over, as well as top praise at chili contests (among my co workers, at least).
