Too much stuff around the house means more clutter and more stress. It’s time to take on the extra baggage around the house and start getting rid of some things, finding new homes for others, and putting a stop to the unfinished projects around the house. For the past several months I’ve been gradually working…
When it comes to living the military life, if the government says jump, you jump. In the case of many military families jump means relocation, or PCS (permanent change of station, for any non-military readers out there).
Sometimes a PCS move can happen at the least opportune moment, such as during holidays, around important family events, or less desirable weather, such as the middle of winter.
During any of these inopportune moments when a PCS move takes place, there are some ways to reduce the stress of the situation to help you keep your cool and reduce the stress of balancing other events in addition to the details of your PCS move.

Somedays it’s just too hard to get off the couch, especially when there is that one item on the to do list that has to be done.
You know the one.
It’s that to do list item that stares at you, and the longer you put it off the more daunting it seems to be.
This is also the same to do list item that, once complete, will feel like a huge weight off your shoulders and you’ll be motivated to do even more.
This is your frog, and it’s what Eat That Frog! by Brian Tracy is about.
In the introduction Tracy mentions a quote by Mark Twain that basically says if the first thing you do in the morning is eat a live frog then there is nothing worse you could do for the rest of the day.
In other words, if you complete that daunting task on your to do list right away, it will help you become more productive and more motivated to complete your to do list.
It’s been a pretty unfocused week for me. Today I declared I was going to regroup. Find my focus. Get back on track. I’ve already shared with you how my bullet journal keeps me organized, so updating it is one of the p riority items on my to do list today. The end of the…
Everyone seems to have a bullet journal these days and rightfully so. They’ve helped thousands of people get their lives together in one handy little notebook. I was skeptical but had people encourage me to give them a try, so I did. And I now love my bullet journal. I’ve always been obsessed with to do…
There’s just something about our late summer harvest that gets me in the mood to revamp my pantry. Fresh tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers. Yum! Creating homemade spaghetti sauces, canning tomatoes for soups throughout the year. It’s a wonderful thing and has me ready to toss the pantry and restock with healthier options.
To help give myself some motivation and ideas, and hopefully you as well, I’m sharing a list of healthier options for stocking your pantry and fridge.
Moving is never easy. Throw in the hassle of a military oriented move and things are only going to get more complicated. My husband is in the National Guard so moving for us is a bit different than the Active Duty soldiers, however a lot of the same moving advice applies.
There can be a lot of shuffle in the Guard, everything from units changing location to my husband changing units. In some cases the move is nothing more than an hour difference in travel times, but for others it can be up to a 10 hour drive from our current location meaning we need to move to a new home.
One thing I want to work on this year is getting organized. There’s just too much stuff around here and my entire life is getting cluttered with excess things, thoughts, and activities that I don’t need. Between blogging, homeschooling, regular household duties, and trying to get my own personal interests in line, I have way…
I have all of these ideas swimming in my head and I can’t get them down on paper, nor organized fast enough. I needed to do something, so I did. I created the Ultimate To Do List and I’m going to show you how to make one too. It takes less than ten minutes to complete once you have all of your supplies, then you just have to start inputting all of your tasks and ideas.
