Playing around with some fun snacks for the kids again. Todays creation was some almond cream cheese cracker snacks and celery pine needles.
I’ll admit, these took a little work to make. They’re easy though. You just need crackers, sliced almonds, cream cheese and celery. Smear a little cream cheese on the cracker, then layer on the almonds just like I did. Take an almond that still has some brown on it and use it to create the stem. Cut up some celery in thin sticks and there you go!
I would probably make these for a fun holiday or winter themed party as an appetizer. They are also fun for a snack just as we used them. However, after I made a few we just started putting the cream cheese on the crackers, then sprinkling them with almonds or celery. What can I say, we’re an impatient bunch when it comes to good food.
Either way they turned out fun and delicious. Next time I make these I think I’ll add a little spice into the cream cheese. Maybe some dill or even oregano. I don’t know yet. I’ll have to play with it. If you do try it, I highly suggest getting some of that celery in with your cracker bite. It really perked up the flavor.
