We’re moving into the 5th of November…
The fifth of November,
The Gunpowder treason and plot;
I know of no reason
Why the Gunpowder treason
Should ever be forgot!
Ok, so I really wasn’t thinking of Guy Fawkes Day (usually celebrated in Great Britain for those who aren’t quite sure what I’m referencing) but as soon as I started typing it jumped in my head and forced me into a tangent.
Getting back on track, it’s the 5th of November and I’m just now getting started on my NaNoWriMo project! (National Novel Writing Month for you non-writers out there). I’m not letting it get to me. We’ve been busy plus, I’ve planned for NaNoWriMo for this weekend using my own NaNoWriMo survival guide I created last year.
I’ve used my non-writing time to gather a bit of inspiration though. For example, one of the settings of my current work is a farm in a somewhat fantasy world. Yesterday the girls and I spent a few hours helping out at a local farm. We did chores, had a bonfire, and spent a great deal of time snuggling, feeding, and playing with the farm animals. This list included dogs, cats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, goats, sheep, pigs, cows, donkeys, ponies, alpacas, peacocks, and horses. It was quite the day, but it also gave me a lot of setting descriptors, so I ran with it.
If I can’t be writing, at least I can be observing the world around me.
That’s what I love about you guys. You’re always inspiring me!
Here’s the featured posts for this week.
First Just a Little Creativity reminds me that crafting doesn’t have to be difficult, time consuming, or elaborate. I’m loving these Simple DIY Antique Gumball Machines. So easy to make and the accent of turning it into a little succulent terrarium. Check out how easy this project is. It might make the perfect homemade holiday gift for someone in your life. I’m honestly thinking of having the kids help me make one of these for my husband. Shhhh… don’t tell him.
Speaking of holiday gifts, I know a lot of people who opt to shop online to find the best deals for the gifts they are giving. Simple At Home has you covered with even more savings by sharing tips on how to shop at home without paying shipping. It seems like those shipping costs can get pretty outrageous sometimes, so getting them free is the way to go if possible.
Well, I’m about ready to get back to my NaNoWriMo project, so I think it’s time to turn this link up over to you guys to work a little bit of your own magic on it. I can’t wait to see what you’ll link up this week!
Sunshine Life Blog Link Up Rules
What can I post?
Each blogger can share an unlimited number of posts per week, but please try not to go too crazy with it, we still want to make sure everyone gets visibility. Blog posts shared should be related to positive living. This involves anything to enhance a positive lifestyle including, but not limited to recipes, crafts, ideas, and family. Please make sure all posts are family friendly.
Please do not post links to other link ups, stores (including Etsy shops), giveaways, contests, affiliate links, or content that is not family friendly. Sponsored content is okay as long as the post itself is related to a positive lifestyle. Any post that does not follow these guidelines will be removed from the link up.
When can I post?
The Sunshine Life Blog Link Up will go live on Saturday and close the following Friday. You can post all week long, then post again for the next week! Times for the link up will be listed in Central Standard Time (CST).
